I have been asked to observe the English classroom environment for the first 2 weeks.of school.  Through my observations I have learned a lot  about my school, my teachers, and, students. 

I will be working with 5 different teachers every week as my co-teachers.  Each of them has a very different teaching style, none of which is similar to mine so I am not looking forward to the beginning stages of classroom management. 

This week, the 2nd week of my observations, I have been assessing the students' basic knowledge of English in terms of phonics, word recognition, and numbers.  There is such a large gap in achievement for the students here.   I have been thinking of a million ideas to narrow the gap but I am limited in my time with the students.  I see each of my 17 classes once a week for 40 minutes a week.  Thats not enough time!  This week I have been weeding out ideas to find a more productive solution to enrich the students that are advance and help all other students acheive a high level of success in English while still teaching them to love and enjoy English.

Life is made up of sobs, sniffles, and smiles, with sniffles predominating. Do you think so?
